The compliment actually went beyond translating “was man aus Fotos herausholen kann” as “what one can glean from photos”. What he is really saying is more like “how you can really use photos to your advantage, to impress the potential customer”. Literally, “how you can milk photos…”

I’m a German native.

I think it sounded more sexy in German.
