Off-topic Thursday – Looking Presidential

This is not a political statement, but just a couple of pretty cool pictures of my daughter and some of her friends from this past weekend. She was in Long Beach to help load someone’s luggage onto his private plane. And, I am told, she even got to carry his laptop.

Big deal. I, on the other hand, got to attend a walk-through back in San Diego. Eat your heart out.

Hey Chris…..truly OT but was wondering….

Will you have the right to/choose to post any of your Inman talk on an online platform after the fact?

  • http://sandiegohomeblog.com Kris Berg

Greg – Not sure what you mean. Since it is not scripted, I would have to have total recall. For the session I am a panelist on, they typically record those, so that might be available afterwards. If so, I am not ashamed to link (unless, of course, I sounded like a complete idiot, which is always plausible). As for the other, I am moderating only, and it is part of the Blogger’s Connect preconference, so I am not sure if a “transcript” of that one will be available. Last year, Sellsius did a live podcast, though. In any event, I will keep you posted.

    BTW – You going?

    luv the politalks

  • http://www.BoiseBlog.com Phil Hoover

geez, now I spose you’ll be our next Secretary of Housing? :)

  • http://www.bubbleinfo.com Jim Klinge

Did she tell him about Temp minus %? Maybe he could do something?

  • http://www.bubbleinfo.com Jim Klinge

make that Tempo minus 5 – man they tick me off.

Mind if I tell you my latest Sandicor story?

I included the the remarks of the phone number of the Countrywide contact for prequal in my first REO listing. It’s required by the lender, and I mistakenly put it in the remarks, instead of the confidential remarks.

Because they have a computerized scanner go through the MLS every night, I get busted….again, and fined $500. I appeal, thinking they will have mercy because it was an honest mistake, and didn’t harm anybody. It wasn’t like I put my phone number in there and was deliberately trying to steal other agents’ buyers.

They denied my appeal, and imposed the $500 fine.

I did call to appeal my appeal, and they said no way. But they did mention that I can’t get kicked out of Sandicor, but fines can get up to $5,000.

My first infraction was when I included open house info on a listing. Every other website in America is OK with open house info, but not Sandicor. I have a fidiuciary obligition to my seller to maximize expose of his home, but apparently that is a fact lost on Sandicor.

So glad they are on our side.

Do you think they have it out for me?

    Follow up….

I wasn’t sure if Inman was going to post any of its panels or guest speakers videos online or if you could do that on your own if you chose to.

As for me I would love to go but I’ve got a precomit to carry a certain Senator’s lap top from Indianapolis to Bloomington next week. All right it’s just Evan Bayh’s lap top but still…I did promise…..

  • http://sandiegohomeblog.com Kris Berg

    Greg – That is hilarious!

Jim – Feeling the pain. Yesterday the count of colorful expletives hurled in the general direction of Tempo 5 hit a new high at our house. Every day brings a new frustration.

    Phil – :)

    Kris,

Cool pics. Regardless of affiliation, it’s always cool to meet such high level politicians. I’m sure your daughter was very excited!

  • Rich T

Kris: Nice pictures. I”ll bet your daughter was excited. However, I need to ask a question.. I noticed that she did not have a purse, handbag or one of those fanny-packs that some carry their valuables in. Was that to make her job easier for loading the luggage or was it phase (1) of his redistribution of income policy???

This is me putting on my “personal” hat for a second at work, but Go Obama!!

  • http://sandiegohomeblog.com Kris Berg

Drew – Thank you for not yelling at me for ignoring your widgets. You are still sitting in my very stressed inbox as unfinished business.

  • http://www.bawldguy.com BawldGuy Talking

How cool is that! She musta been jazzed.

Maybe she can see him again next year in the Senate. :)

  • http://sandiegohomeblog.com Kris Berg

Completely glossed over your right-wing comment — So you. :) For the record, she did have a purse (out of camera range), and you can identify it by the fact that it contains my charge card.

  • http://sandiegohomeblog.com Kris Berg

Since I can’t find a way to edit a comment on my own blog, let me add that the last one was directed at Rich (but, then, he knew that).

  • http://www.SanDiegoCastles.com Steve Berg

Rich: Redistribution of wealth? Do you forget what I do for a living? And the fact that I have two daughters? Need I say more.

  • http://www.miamism.com ines

your daughter is beautiful!! Who’s the person shaking her hand? ;)

  • John K

I remember seeing the photo of a young teenage boy shaking the hand of a youngish president in 1960 or 1961. Of course the teenager later became president. Could history be repeating itself?

  • http://sandiegohomeblog.com Kris Berg

John – Nah. Too many skeletons in her closet (her parents).

    Ines – Good one.
