This just into my email box:
As “The Trusted Voice of San Diego Real Estate,” the San Diego Association of REALTORS® is pleased to present “The Scoop.”
OK, I bit. I followed the little link expecting to just make a cameo appearance. And when I saw that the video was a little over 5 minutes long, I was fairly certain I wouldn’t still be hanging around at the big finish. I was wrong.
This is actually quite a good overview of the big San Diego housing market picture. It comes from our own Realtor association so, not surprisingly, there is a little bit of subtle “It’s a great time to (do whatever it is you want to do)” undertone, but that’s to be expected. And I don’t agree with every conclusion drawn from the data, but it is fairly balanced and on-target nonetheless.
Warning: This is county-wide stuff, so use only as directed. Averages and medians are just that. Many, many micro-markets exist throughout the region, and your results may vary. In fact, I can pretty much guarantee they will.
Oh, and I really hope they shorten and modify the cheesy intro. I find the whole thing about hovering around the “sold” sign with beaming grins a little embarrassing.
